Mr. Carter Double Digits!

Carter turned 10 on March 5th so we welcomed him to the age of double digits! He's growing so fast. The boy who stayed in size 8 pants forever (well like 2 years) has had to get new pants mid school year and new shoes! He's got new freckles, more interests, and eek more moods. It's really fun to see his interests mature and get his perspective on things. He's such a smartie and a great kid. For his birthday we let him choose a few guy friends and see Journey 2 The Mysteries Island at the move theatre. They got treated like VIP birthday singing in the theatre, soda, popcorn, the works. It was adorable in a cool boyish kind of way. He has loved Chess Club while it was in session this school year and attended the state tournament at the U and some local tournaments. We've cut back on piano to biweekly lessons and he is going to scouts again. Matt is his webelos leader so that makes it a lot easier to get him to attend. :) I am desperately waiting for summer when I'll have mr. double digits home with us and we can go stay overnight with Matt on his Vernal/Duchesne/Roosevelt cases. Gardens open tomorrow and you know we'll be there! So much to look forward to and a lot to be grateful for.
